New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani admitted Wednesday that she would like to end her disagreement with rapper 50 Cent.
While appearing on the Complex podcast, Mamdani was put on the spot by host Jillian Superstar, where she asked the socialite mayor, “If you could have a dinner party – which I know I’ll be invited to after this interview – who would be your dinner party guest, dead or alive?”
His first choice, he replied, would be Mayor Fiorello La Guardia, whom he hailed as the greatest mayor in New York City’s history.

“I was going to throw in 50 Cent to have a conversation about tax policy,” he added.
“A much-needed conversation,” agreed the interviewer.
In an interview with “The Breakfast Club” last year, the mayor noted that while he was a fan of 50 Cent, the singer was not a fan of his tax policy.
“I know if 50 Cent is listening, he won’t be happy about this. He often doesn’t like this tax policy, but I want to be very clear about this $20,000 a year. It’s a mistake around. And all these things together, has is makes the lives of all New Yorkers better, including those who are actually taxed now, “said Mamdani0 in the June 25 podcast.
The rapper quickly responded after asking, “Where are you from? Who’s your friend? I don’t agree with this plan. No. I’ll give him $258,750 and a one-way ticket out of NY. I’m telling Trump what he said too!”

Mamdani noted during an interview on Wednesday that he is still a fan of 50 Cent, even if 50 Cent was not a fan of his goals. The superstar proved this to be true, playing a clip of the mayor quoting the rapper’s “Get rich or die tryin'” during a recent inaugural address.
“So, one-sided beef?” The questioner asked.
“Beef facing sideways” Mamdani agreed.

“I think we will always have disagreements on that tax policy,” he added. “I want to raise taxes on the very rich. He doesn’t want that to happen. But I’m still going to enjoy the song ‘Many Men,’ regardless of our disagreements.”
Representatives for 50 Cent did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.
