Cricketer Virat Kohli and actor Anushka Sharma have largely kept their family life away from the limelight since making London their main base. Madhuri Dixit’s husband Dr Shriram Nene has now recalled a conversation he had with Anushka about the couple’s decision to move abroad, suggesting that the constant attention they received in India made it difficult for them to enjoy a normal family life.

Speaking to YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, Dr Shriram Nene spoke about his admiration for Virat Kohli and recalled meeting the cricketer on several occasions.“I have a lot of respect (for him). We’ve seen him several times; he’s just a decent human being,” Nené said.He then shared details of a conversation he had with Anushka while discussing the family’s plans to move to London. According to Nene, the couple felt that they could not fully enjoy their success in India due to the intense public attention surrounding them.“One day we had a conversation with Anushka and it was very interesting. They were thinking of moving to London because they can’t enjoy their success (here). And we appreciate what happens to them, because anything they do attracts attention. We almost isolate ourselves,” he said.Nene explained that constant recognition can make even routine activities a challenge for celebrity families. He noted that while he personally feels comfortable interacting with people, repeated requests for selfies can become intrusive, especially during private family moments.“I get along with everyone; I am bindaas (carefree). But even then, it becomes a challenge. There is always a time to take a selfie. Not in a bad way, but there comes a time when it becomes intrusive, when you are at dinner or lunch, and you have to be polite about it. For my wife, it becomes a problem. But (Anushka and Virat) are lovely people and they just want to raise their children normally,” Nene said.
