The internet is trying to woo Freddy’s biggest German fan after finding out he’s been to America before

Germany’s ignominious exit from the 2026 FIFA World Cup at the hands of Paraguay on Monday evening meant the four-time world champions, along with their rabid fans, crossed the pond back to Deutschland.

Although obviously, not all of their fans return home until the end of the summer.

Germany’s biggest fan Freddy, a celebrity who has been writing about his hitting in the United States, has signed up to stay in America until the end of the tournament (love the confidence), so he will be playing in the US-of-A for another month.

Not everyone is happy about this obviously, as large sections of critics and haters on social media are apparently ready to say auf wiedersehen to Freddy.

The worst thing is that some fans on the internet have caught him on Freddy’s X account and found out about his adventures in the United States before this year’s World Cup tour, and they even looked down on the country he loves so much.

I will deal with the “never been to America” ​​claim first.

I went back and looked at Freddy’s posts very carefully (in addition to covering his first trip to America back at the beginning of the month), and unless I missed something, he never once mentioned that this was his first time in the country.

People keep pointing to his post back in 2023 about going to a concert in the United States, but going somewhere in a big city like New York or Los Angeles and staying there for a few days before flying home is a lot different than renting a car and driving to every small town across America.

Freddy experienced the true beauty of our country, not just the upscale coastal towns, which is why the second post needs to be addressed.

There have been a number of people who have discovered a post from Freddy badmouthing the United States, and honestly, this drives home what I and a few others have been saying.

Freddy’s views of America may be on full display in all those “hate posts,” but he apparently gave the country a second chance and even fell in love with it in the process.

He saw the best that small town America had to offer during his trip here, and it looks like he’s changed his tune.

That’s the funny thing about these internet losers who have nothing better to do than try to scrape through every minute of someone’s internet life in hopes of finding a “gotcha” moment.

They do not think that people have the power to change their thoughts, opinions, and biases.

Maybe there was a time in his life when Freddy hated America, or at least what he thought America was, but that has clearly changed.

I hope Freddy was inspired when he saw America so well, and I’m grateful that he let us all along for the ride.
