Amaal Mallik has issued a strong warning to social media users targeting his family amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the song ‘Main Hoon Hero Tera’. The music composer recently called up Salman Khan Films after the production house shared an anniversary tribute to ‘Hero’, with the song sung by Salman Khan, without mentioning Amaal, who composed the song.After addressing the issue in the comments section of Salman Khan Films’ post, Amaal took to X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday to urge social media users to leave his family out of the controversy.
In a strongly worded post, Amaal said criticism directed at him was one thing, but attacks on his family would not be tolerated.“A legal warning to the entire audience on each and every social platform in the world… Not a word about my family will be tolerated.
Targeting me is part of your game plan, it gets you some likes and eyeballs. GREAT! You’re welcome,” he wrote.Amaal claimed that certain anonymous accounts on X had been targeting his brother, Armaan Malik, for supporting him. He also clarified the story of ‘Main Hoon Hero Tera’, stating that the original version was performed by Armaan, with music composed by him and lyrics written by Kumaar. According to Amaal, that version had received approval before Salman Khan recorded his own performance.“FYI, without me and Kumaar sir, there would be no song to sing 🙂 Without Armaan, there would be nothing to play for Salman sir. Without SK’s face and voice version, the song would not be where it is today, I never denied that,” he wrote.
Amaal Mallik talks about his family’s legacy
Amaal said that while the issue may seem minor to some, it has great personal importance to him and also reflects broader concerns within the artist community.“You can make fun of us, but not our legacy…” he wrote, adding that his family’s musical legacy dates back 76 years, when his grandfather began building it.He said he and Armaan have dedicated themselves to making their father Daboo Malik’s dreams and the family’s legacy come true. Amaal also expressed frustration at what he described as repeated references to luck and nepotism.“But enough of the dirty tricks, calling it luck or nepotism, name-calling over and over again. I’m sick of it all at the moment and it’s taken me 20 years (I started at 16) to get so angry at the politics and hate within the industry and the idiots on the internet.

Amaal Mallik warns of legal action
In the same post, Amaal said he would take legal action against people who threatened or attacked his family.
He claimed that he would trace the IP addresses of those involved, locate them and personally file FIR against them.“If from now on anyone in this industry or outside of it tries to threaten my family. You ever go after my people. Watch what I do! A warning from an older son, an older brother and a man you should think three times or more before messing with him,” the tweet concluded.
