Six Flags Over Georgia tree falls during storm sends 4 people to hospital

Four guests were hospitalized after a tree fell near the entrance to Six Flags Over Georgia during severe weather Sunday.
The incident occurred as severe storms passed through the Austell, Georgia area, Six Flags Over Georgia told Fox News Digital.
“During the severe weather impacting the park, local medical and EMS personnel responded to four guests who were struck by a fallen tree near the park entrance,” Six Flags said in a statement sent to Fox News Digital.

“The guests were transported to a local hospital for further evaluation,” the site said.
The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the area Sunday evening as the storms passed through the Atlanta metropolitan area, reports noted.

Park officials did not release the identities of the four visitors or provide updates on their conditions.
A video shared on Facebook appeared to show the aftermath of the incident, with fire trucks, ambulances and other emergency vehicles lined up at the entrance to the park as first responders worked around several fallen trees and large branches.

The person who posted the video described what started as a “day off at Six Flags” before the storm suddenly hit the area, adding that a tree fell near the exit as guests were leaving the park.
“Prayers for the injured,” the user wrote.

A post shared on Reddit appeared to show a large tree that had fallen in part of the park, with users saying it had also landed on the track of the Mindbender roller coaster.

“It didn’t look like the track was bent. But it was a thick tree, so I couldn’t see if anything was broken,” another user wrote.
Six Flags has not confirmed whether any attractions were damaged or whether park operations were affected.
