Russia warns that the United Kingdom will pay for the supply of drones to Ukraine

Moscow’s warning to the UK comes after a wave of Ukrainian attacks on Russia.

In the latest attacks overnight, Russian officials said some 620 drones had flown into the region around Moscow. Russian air defenses destroyed more than 180 drones, but several people were injured, officials said.

In a statement, Wildberries said a logistics complex had “sustained minor damage” in the attack.

The overnight strikes inside Russia came amid a barrage of Russian missile and drone attacks against Ukraine.

In the deadliest attack, in Pechenihy in northeastern Ukraine, private homes, a cafe and a post office were hit, and two missiles claimed the lives of 10 villagers.

On the other hand, three Ukrainians died in Sumy, two in Zaporizhzhia and two in Kherson. Five people were wounded in Izium, near the front line in the east, and kyiv came under five waves of attacks overnight.

On Saturday night, Ukraine fired some 822 drones toward Russia, of which 600 were aimed at Moscow, according to its regional governor, who said the Russian capital had suffered “one of the most massive drone attacks in recent times”. Seven deaths were reported across Russia.

That same night, Russian attacks on Ukraine killed at least seven people and injured more than 39.

In April, the Defense Ministry announced it would supply Ukraine with tens of thousands of drones, including long-range strike devices, in its largest package to date.
